Who we are

Scilly Chartered Accountants is led by:

Richard Stonier BSc (Econ) FCA ATT (Fellow) MAE

I am a highly qualified Chartered Accountant, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and a Taxation Technician with the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT). I am also a member of the Academy of Experts (MAE).

With over 30 years of experience advising both individuals and businesses, I bring a wealth of knowledge to help clients navigate and optimise their financial and tax affairs. My personal, professional approach has earned me a reputation for delivering practical, efficient advice.

My practice, Scilly Chartered Accountants, is closely linked with Deans Accountants, a well-established firm in Staffordshire with over 125 years of history. As a partner at Deans, I have the support of a dedicated team of 30+ professionals, ensuring that client work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Scilly Pelagics

I am a long-standing member of the Scilly Pelagics crew led by Bob Flood and Joe Pender, sailing on the Sapphire.

Scilly Pelagics take bird watchers into the Scilly inshore and offshore waters in search of local and passage seabirds, operating throughout the summer and autumn. The trips are hugely popular and bring lots of visiting birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts to the islands every year.

The trips are famous for connecting with lots of unusual and hard to see species, providing point blank views and many photographic opportunities. As well as birds the trips often encounter many species of cetacean from Dolphins and Porpoise to Whales. Sharks and Tuna are also seen.

Wilson’s Petrel is a key target species (see photo opposite). And you may have noticed also features as the Scilly Accountants’ logo!
